Project Management & Research Assistant based in the MENA region (remote position)

Paeradigms is looking for a Project and Research Assistant based in the MENA region to support the Paeradigms team, working remotely. Candidates with knowledge of research methods, project organisation and management, and communication fundamentals are invited to apply.

Paeradigms seeks a proactive, dynamic, hands-on, and creative individual to support its project teams. The work could entail a wide range of assignments ranging from supporting project research and knowledge management to contributing to online communications, content management and engagement-creating tools, depending on the interests of the candidate. The Project & Research Assistant is expected to craft original material as well as update or reposition existing materials for an array of platforms and audiences.

Responsibilities

Principal responsibilities

• Support Paeradigms project teams with project management, research, and communication, including documenting meetings and interviews with concise notes, translating and transcribing, contributing to reports, and updating project timelines and presentations.

• Assist the central Paeradigms team with knowledge management and communications.

Other responsibilities as time permits

• Create, edit, translate, and monitor content for a multicultural, global audience, including social media posts, web pages (Wix), blog or news pieces, brochures, leaflets, presentations, and reports.

• Help develop institutional databases to manage the Paeradigms network and online community.

Qualifications

• Education: Master’s degree

• Experience: 2+ years

• Language skills: Mastery of English, Proficiency in French and Arabic

• Communication skills: Ability to write clearly, concisely, and accurately research and cite sources

• Technical skills: Proficiency in MS Office, including advanced formatting and creation of figures, tables, and infographics

• Digital skills: Social media marketing and content, using design software and video

• Other skills: Strong organisation and time management skills, attention to detail, and ability to work remotely as part of an international team. Proactive approach and strong problem-solving skills.

Timeline

The contract will start as soon as possible and run for four months. Candidates are expected to be available 30-40 hours per week. An appropriate schedule can be discussed during the interview process. An extension of the contract is possible based on performance.

Project Management and Communication Internship (remote)

Paeradigms is seeking a Project Management and Communication Intern based in the MENA region or Sub-Saharan Africa to join our team remotely. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is interested in gaining hands-on experience in project management, communication, and research methods.

Responsibilities

As an intern, you will support the Paeradigms project teams with project management, research, and communication.

Your duties will include assisting with project research, contributing to online communications, updating project timelines and presentations, and creating original content for an array of platforms and audiences.

Additionally, you will assist the central Paeradigms team with knowledge management and communications.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you should have a master’s degree in the social sciences, development studies, international relations or education, and proficiency in English. Knowledge of French and Arabic would be an asset.

You should possess excellent communication skills, be proficient in MS Office, including advanced formatting and creation of figures, tables, and infographics, and have experience in social media marketing and content creation.

Other essential skills include strong organisational and time management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work remotely as part of an international team.
