About BBOXX

We started Bboxx to tackle a major global problem: energy poverty and the lack of access to essential products and services across Africa.

Currently, over 759 million people in the world remain without access to electricity, of which 570 million are in Africa; and an additional 840 million are connected to unreliable grid.

People in the developing countries, are also lacking access to other goods and services such as safe water (663 million people), clean cooking-gas (3 billion people) and financial services (1.7 billion adults remain unbanked).

Over a decade ago, our three co-founders began exploring energy solutions that would provide electricity and other utilities to the millions without them.

They saw that access to essential products and services (through data-powered logistics and innovative financing methods) is what individuals, businesses, communities and nations need to unlock their own potential and drive sustainable economic activity.
