Research Education Analyst, CEER

RTI’s Center for Education Evaluation and Research (CEER) has an immediate opening for a Research Education Analyst. The RTI University Collaboration Office seeks a prospect for the SUGAR Internship within the Social, Statistical, & Environmental Sciences (SSES) unit.    This internship is a contract position. The employment contract is administered by Greene Resources Powered by Array, RTI’s supplemental staffing partner.    The Substance Use, Gender, and Applied Research Program develops and tests the efficacy, effectiveness, and impact of interventions for people who misuse alcohol and other drugs and other key populations for HIV/sexual and reproductive health and other outcomes in community-based and real-world settings. The intern will work in the Communication Practice Area under the direction of Jessica Thompson and for the INSPIRE Study (Integrated Services for Pain—Interventions to Reduce Pain Effectively). This is a large, multi-site study led by RTI researchers (Drs. Lauren McCormack, Mark Edlund, Jessica Thompson) that evaluates strategies for opioid reduction and pain management. Other staff involved with this study are Laura Wagner (Project Manager), Stephanie McGinnis (Communication Coordinator) and Ashley Wheeler (Administrative Assistant).

The intern will work primarily with Dr. Thompson and will interact with other INSPIRE team members on a regular basis.   The intern will assist the INSPIRE team will activities related to communicating study results back to study patients. This individual would take a lead role in the Center’s portfolio of short- and long-term projects advising clients on funding strategies, program management, and impact analysis for efforts that support science, technology, and innovation in the United States and other countries.

Opportunities for Solar Energy Development in Europe

This position is open to candidates based near RTI’s headquarters location in Durham, North Carolina; in the Washington DC metropolitan area; or working as a full-time telecommuter.   The Center is a team of more than 50 economists, policy analysts, and social scientists conducting evidence-based assessments in science policy, innovation economics, environmental and natural resource economics, climate policy and land use, food and agriculture, and economic development. Recent projects undertaken by the Center that are relevant to this position include evaluations of philanthropic programs to accelerate progress in science and innovation, assessments of alternative funding models, and reviews of the scientific and technology outputs associated with signature research infrastructure in the United States, Canada, and Australia.
