It does so by supporting economic policies that promote financial stability and monetary cooperation, which are essential to increase productivity, job creation, and economic well-being.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The IMF was established in 1944 in the aftermath of the Great Depression of the 1930s. 44 founding member countries sought to build a framework for international economic cooperation. Today, its membership embraces 190 countries, with staff drawn from 150 nations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The IMF is governed by and accountable to those 190 countries that make up its near-global membership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ufeff<a href=\"https:\/\/solareyesinternational.com\/solar-waves-of-change-revolutionizing-energy-access-in-rural-south-africa\/\">Solar Waves of Change: Revolutionizing Energy Access in Rural South Africa<\/a><span data-rich-text-placeholder=\"Type \/ to choose a block\" contenteditable=\"false\" style=\"pointer-events:none;user-select:none;-webkit-user-select:none;-moz-user-select:none;-ms-user-select:none;\"><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the top of its organizational structure is the Board of Governors. The day-to-day work of the IMF is overseen by its 24-member Executive Board, which represents the entire membership and supported by IMF staff. The Managing Director is the head of the IMF staff and Chair of the Executive Board. S\/he is assisted by four Deputy Managing Directors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The IMF&#8217;s resources mainly come from the money that countries pay as their capital subscription (quotas) when they become members. Each member of the IMF is assigned a quota, based broadly on its relative position in the world economy. Countries can then borrow from this pool when they fall into financial difficulty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The IMF provides loans\u2014including emergency loans\u2014to member countries experiencing actual or potential balance of payments problems. The aim is to help them rebuild their international reserves, stabilize their currencies, continue paying for imports, and restore conditions for strong economic growth, while correcting underlying problems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ufeff<a href=\"https:\/\/solareyesinternational.com\/y-combinator-startups-on-clean-energy-and-sustainability\/\">Y Combinator Startups on Clean Energy and Sustainability<\/a><span data-rich-text-placeholder=\"Type \/ to choose a block\" contenteditable=\"false\" style=\"pointer-events:none;user-select:none;-webkit-user-select:none;-moz-user-select:none;-ms-user-select:none;\"><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The IMF monitors the international monetary system and global economic developments to identify risks and recommend policies for growth and financial stability. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Fund also undertakes a regular health check of the economic and financial policies of its 190 member countries. In addition, the IMF identifies possible risks to the economic stability of its member countries and advises their governments on possible policy adjustments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"IMF_2023_Youth_Fellowship_Program_is_open_for_applications\"><\/span>IMF 2023 Youth Fellowship Program is open for applications<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The IMF Youth Fellowship Program (YFP) provides an opportunity for young leaders between 20 and 35 years of age from across the world to become part of our global effort to build forward better and join the IMF at the forefront of the response to global economic challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The IMF YFP is a competitive capacity building program that has attracted more than 9,000 applicants since its launch in August 2020. This year, the IMF is sponsoring selected participants to experience the World Bank-IMF Annual Meetings in Marrakech, Morocco.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ufeff<a href=\"https:\/\/solareyesinternational.com\/solar-pv-module-manufacturing-process-explained-from-solar-cells-to-solar-panel\/\">SOLAR PV MODULE MANUFACTURING PROCESS EXPLAINED \u2013 from solar cells to solar panel<\/a><span data-rich-text-placeholder=\"Type \/ to choose a block\" contenteditable=\"false\" style=\"pointer-events:none;user-select:none;-webkit-user-select:none;-moz-user-select:none;-ms-user-select:none;\"><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>IMF YFP is looking for youth fellows who want to contribute to the IMF\u2019s efforts to build more resilient and inclusive growth for all, particularly for young people. As part of the program, the selected youth fellows will attend in-person workshops led by IMF management, senior IMF staff, and external experts.&nbsp;They will also have access to&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.imf.org\/en\/News\/Seminars\/Campaigns\/2023\/Marrakech2023\" target=\"_blank\">Annual Meetings<\/a>&nbsp;seminars and events in Marrakech. The IMF will cover travel and related expenses.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Selected candidates will have opportunities to meet scholars, activists, leaders, and experts while creating lasting connections with other youth fellows from around the world.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Selected candidates will become part of the IMF Youth Network to connect with previous IMF Youth Fellows and stay informed activism and\/or engaging with a civil society organization<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Entrepreneurship and\/or participating in a start-up<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Content creation\/influencer and\/or contributing to independent platforms<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Have knowledge and expertise in international studies, basic economics, and development issues, particularly on inclusive economic growth, the digital economy, or climate change<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Have graduated from or currently be a student in the field of international relations and development, communications, economics, or related fields<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Demonstrate good public speaking and presentation skills<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Be a citizen of an&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.imf.org\/en\/Countries\" target=\"_blank\"
