Your Mission: Access To Energy Business Development Manager – Schneider Electric, Southern Africa

We’re looking for a Business Development Manager – Access to Energy to drive Schneider Electric’s Southern Africa A2E deployment program in collaboration with all parties.  

The successful candidate will lead strategic relationships, A2E products and solutions to ensure the offer is prepared for the market at the correct pricing, stock availability, technical specifications, quality and standard requirements.  

Your Role – Magic happens when you bring great people together!

Establish and nurture C-Level relationships to promote the Schneider Electric A2E value proposition.

Support the team to plan and coordinate megatrends and sustainable development events that can lead to revenue-generating activities for Access to Energy.

Programme Officer, Partnerships for Renewables in Africa, P4 – IRENA, USD 77,326 to USD 87,422 annually

Liaise with East, West and Southern Africa colleagues on Access to Energy.

Lead the achievement of the Access to Energy sales target.

Support the team with Access to Energy internal sales and back-office processes and requirements such as customer queries, quotes, order processing and invoicing, product enquiries, reporting conditions, stock clarifications, offer clarification etc.

Led the establishment of Access to Energy solutions system integrator partners for solutions assembly and delivery.

Lead the ongoing review of the Access to Energy offer through market research to determine suitability, understand competitor solutions, and compare prices.

Update sales pipeline on Bridge Front Office (bFO).

Humboldt Research Fellowship – €3,170 monthly for experienced researchers and €2,670 monthly for postdocs: all countries eligible (except Germany and Brazil)

Lead all technical support on the Access to Energy offer and represent the first point of contact for all technical queries.

Lead Access to Energy marketing literature creation and maintenance to ensure that marketing literature is always up to date and readily available.

Actively participate in events where the promotion of Access to Energy solutions is required.

Qualifications: Access To Energy Business Development Manager – Schneider Electric, Southern Africa

About You:

  • Minimum relevant technical qualification in the field of Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 – 7 years’ advanced sales/commercial experience related to new business development in emerging markets with newly launched offers that are not well established in the market.
  • Valid Driving License.
  • Advanced Understanding of Sales in Emerging Economies.
  • Solar Solutions (Basic to Advanced).
  • Customer Satisfaction and Service Delivery.
  • Ethics and Compliance.
  • Strategic relationship building, access to energy solutions sales and philanthropy project delivery will be key focus areas within the position.
